Allen W. Miller 74, of 6691 SR 241, Millersburg, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 24, 2022 after a period of declining health. He was born on November 23, 1947 to the late William E. J. and Fannie (Gingerich) Miller. On March 27, 1969 he married Esther E. Mast who survives. Allen was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was ordained as deacon on October 3, 1976.
He is survived by his wife Esther and their children, Mary (Nelson) Miller of Shipshewana, IN, Ervin (Lena) Miller of Beach City, Wayne (Mattie) Miller of Millersburg, Andy (Susan) Miller of Millersburg, Leona (John) Troyer of Topeka, IN, Marvin (Lovina) Miller of Clare, MI, William (Katie) Miller of Dundee, Ada (David) Kuhns of Millersburg, Elizabeth (John) Beiler of Narvon, PA, Aaron (Rachel) Miller of the home, Laura (Jonathan) Yoder of Middlebury, IN; granddaughter, Julie Anna (special friend Lavon) Troyer of the home; 43 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 step grandchild; 3 step great-grandchildren; 1 step great great-grandchild; siblings, Sarah (late John) Miller of Millersburg, Esther (late Chris) Yoder of Sugarcreek, Abe (late Clara) Miller of Millersburg, Emanuel (late Mary) Miller of Fredericksburg, Jonas (Anna) Miller of Millersburg; and a sister-in-law, Ada (late Mel) Miller.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Danny E. Miller; grandson, Lucas Miller; and siblings, Katie Hershberger , Emma Schlabach and Melvin Miller.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Saturday, March 26, at 9:00 a.m. with Bishop Roy Schlabach officiating. Burial will follow in the Hershberger Cemetery. Friends may call at the home after 2 p.m. on Thursday and any time on Friday. A special thank you on behalf of the family to to LifeCare Hospice for their care and support.
Miller, Alta M. Mullett Hochstetler
August 15, 1962 - September 26, 2022
Alta M. Miller, 60, of Shipshewana, (district: District 44), died at 1:15 pm on Monday, September 26 at Life Care Center, LaGrange. She was born on August 15, 1962, in Oelwein, IA, to Mahlon and Lizzie Mae (Bontrager) Mullett. On September 8, 2008, she married Monroe Hochstetler; he died May 6, 2016. On August 20, 2020, she married Aden Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are three sisters, Ida Mae (John) Hochstetler of Claire, MI, Laura (Mose) Gingerich of OK, Esther (Melvin) Byler of Norwood, MO; four brothers, Truman Mullett of Angola, Alvin (Miriam) Mullett of West Plains, MO, Lester (Marlene) Mullett of Shipshewana, Lloyd (Emma) Mullett of Monte Vista, CO; sister-in-law, Lorene Mullett of Norwood, MO; stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Bontrager of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; parents; brother, Manas Mullett and infant brother, Benny Mullett.
Alta was as a caretaker locally and in Florida. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28 and all day Thursday, September 29 at the Lester Mullet residence, 2745 N. 735 W., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, September 30 also at the Lester Mullet residence. Services will be conducted by the home ministers. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.

February 20, 1971 - April 18, 2022
Alvin G. Miller, 51, of LaGrange, died at 1:30 am on Monday, April 18, in Tijuana Mexico, where he was for cancer treatments. He was born on February 20, 1971 in Tuscola, IL, to Gideon Ray and Verna (Plank) Miller. On November 27, 1992 in Millersburg, he married Linda S. Mast, she survives.

Alvin was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was a Natural Health Consultant and Massage Therapist.

Miller, Amanda W. Beechy

Amanda W. Miller, 93, of Topeka, formerly of Choteau, OK, died at 10:08 am, on Saturday, June 25 [2022] at her niece’s residence in Sturgis, MI, from complications of a stroke suffered four weeks prior. She was born on February 7, 1929, in Topeka, to William and Amanda (Schrock) Beechy. On November 18, 1947, in Topeka, she married Irvin Jay Miller, he died March 15, 2015.
Surviving are son, Floyd Miller of Choteau, OK; foster daughter, Ruby Miller of Topeka; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Alice Yoder of Middlebury; half sister-in-law, Jackie Beechy Mazzoni of Chicago, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Miller; foster son-in-law, Eli Miller; three brothers, Ammon, Elva, and Vernon Beechy; two sisters, Mary Miller, Anna Mae Miller; two half-brothers, Raymond Beechy, William Jr. Beechy; half-sister, Katherine Weirich.
Amanda was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Miller, Amos E.
November 10, 1938 - March 11, 2022
Amos E. Miller, 83, of Middlebury, died at 10:35 am on Friday, March 11, [2022] at his residence. He had been in declining health for several years. He was born on November 10, 1938 in Middlebury to Elmer and Anna (Kauffman) Miller. On April 13, 1961 in Topeka, he married Katie Yoder, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are seven sons, Vernon (Edna) Miller of Millersburg, Merle (Erma) Miller of Middlebury, LaVern (Velda) Miller of Middlebury, Norman (Ruth Ann) Miller of Middlebury, Mervin (Edna) Miller of Middlebury, Willard Miller of Versailles, MO, Marion (Rachel) Miller of Syracuse; a daughter, Lorene (Milo) Schwartz of Monroe; 40 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a sister, Polly (Ralph) Bontrager of Middlebury; sister-in-law Mary Miller of Marysville, OH; a stepsister, Mattie Marie Diener of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Sara Rose Miller; three sisters, Ida Lambright, Mary Weaver, and Emma Miller; a brother, John Miller; two stepsisters, Pollyanna Miller, and Fannie Schwartz; a stepbrother, Walter Ray Miller.
Known to many as Coleman Amos, he had been a farmer and worked at the popcorn plant in Middlebury for five years. He began Miller's Coleman Shop in 1967 and was the owner/operator there for 32 years until his retirement. In retirement he worked part-time at the Davis Mercantile in Shipshewana assisting families at the carousel.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, and all day Sunday, March 13, at the family's residence, 11112 CR 16 in Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, March 14, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Norman Lehman and the home ministers. Burial will be in Naylor Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Miller, Amy Rose
July 10, 2007 - March 5, 2022
Amy Rose Miller, 14, of Ligonier, died unexpectedly of a short illness on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was born July 10, 2007, daughter of Merle and Mary Miller of Ligonier. She was an eighth grader at Sunny Slope School and attended The Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving with parents are four sisters, Kathy Miller, Rachel Miller, Deloris Miller, and Brianna Miller, along with one brother, Lavon Miller, all at home. Also surviving are grandparents, Henry and Barbara Kay Bontrager of LaGrange; David and Katherine Miller of Ligonier; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Calling will begin after 1 PM on Monday, March 7, 2022 and all-day Tuesday at the family residence, 10318 N 600 W, Ligonier, IN 46767. The funeral service will also be held at the family residence and will begin at 9:30 AM Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Bishop Amos Bontrager and the home ministers will officiate. Burial will follow at Hawpatch Cemetery.

Anna Elaine Miller 84, of LaGrange, Indiana died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange, Indiana.
Mrs. Miller was born on August 25, 1937 at Arthur, Illinois to James and Sarah (Yoder) Lee.
On March 20, 1958 in Arthur, Illinois, she married Velvon E. Miller.
Living for many years in LaGrange County, she and her husband had owned and operated the Sunset Motel in LaGrange, Indiana. In her younger years, she enjoyed long trips as an Amish taxi driver.
Anna attended Calvary Chapel in Sturgis, Michigan. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting, gardening, and canning. She loved the time spent with family and friends.
Surviving is her husband Velvon E. Miller of LaGrange, IN and her children: John Miller (Amber Nunemaker) of Goshen, IN; Irene Lane of LaGrange, IN; Steve Miller (Alison Romero) of Bristol, IN; and Dave Miller (Loralie Powers) of Santa Cruz, CA. Six grandchildren, Matt Miller, Renita Miller, Elisha Miller, Danielle Miller, Austin Miller, and Jadyn Miller; a great-grandchild, Riley Miller; and her siblings, Alta (John) Yoder of Arthur, IL; Lester (Mary Ellen) Lee of Arthur, IL; and Bertha Yoder of Arthur, IL.
Preceding Anna in death were her parents, James and Sarah Lee; a son-in-law, David Lane; and siblings, Edna (Simon) Otto, Esther (Willard) Schlabach, and Ervin Lee.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 4-8 pm at Calvary Chapel, 66969 N. Centerville Rd., Sturgis, MI.
Funeral services will take place at the Church on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 10:00 am. Dana Stauffer will officiate the service.

Anna Pauline Miller, 95, of Topeka, (district: 30), died at 5:55 am, on Tuesday, September 13 at her daughter’s residence in Shipshewana. She was born on June 16, 1927, in LaGrange County, to John I. and Elizabeth L. (Wingard) Schrock. On February 26, 1948, in LaGrange County, she married Jacob W. Miller, he died December 31, 1979.
Surviving are eight sons, LeRoy (Liz) Miller of Topeka, Homer (Ella) Miller of Howe, Glen (Orpha) Miller of Goshen, Johnny (Cindy) Miller of Palm Bay, FL, Richard (Lois) Miller of Goshen, Elvie (Lorene) Miller of Millersburg, Josie (Rhoda) Miller of Sugarcreek, OH, Herman (Karen) Miller of Middlebury; two daughters, Liz (Eli) Glick of Shipshewana, Mary (Ben Jr.) Troyer of Sugarcreek, OH; 53 grandchildren, 106 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; sister, Edna (Andy) Bontrager of Topeka; brother, Menno Schrock of Nappanee; two sisters-in-law, Mary Schrock of Goshen, Marg Schrock of KS.

Barbara Ann Miller, 88, of LaGrange, died unexpectedly at 10:25 am, on Sunday, January 23 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She was born on September 24, 1933, in LaGrange, to Manas B. and Ida A. (Yoder) Bontrager. On December 8, 1955, in LaGrange County, she married Olen S. Miller, he died February 27, 2016.
Surviving are four sons, Duane (Ella) Miller, Daryl (Freda) Miller both of Lagrange, Jerry (Misty) Miller of Spartansburg, PA, Steve Miller of LaGrange; four daughters, Mary (Gerald) Yoder of Shipshewana, Dorthy (Vernon) Kurtz of Topeka,, Wanda (Emery) Schwartz of Shipshewana, Anita (Michael) Chupp of Topeka; daughter-in-law, Leanna Miller of LaGrange; 36 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; brother, Ora (Susan) Bontrager of Topeka; two sisters, Loretta (Marvin) Kemp of Nappanee, Fannie (Freeman) Mast of Utica, OH; sister-in-law, Edna Bontrager of LaGrange.

Miller, Betty Jean Yoder Wheeler

Betty Jean Miller, 80, of Shipshewana, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side, at 11:31 am on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born on October 3, 1942 in Three Rivers, MI, to Verne E. and Miriam J. (Bontrager) Yoder. On May 10, 1980 she married Ben Wheeler, he died in 1984; then on May 1, 1999 in Goshen she married Amos J. Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a daughter, Miriam Jean (Joey) Hefflinger of Molalla, OR; three step-daughters, Sarah Ann Miller of Maple Grove, MN, Linda Fern Kindrex of Wynne, AR, Sue Ellen (Troy) White of Nappanee; two step-sons, Jerry Ray Miller of Shipshewana, Amos L. (Beth) Miller of Elkhart; a grandson, Milo James Hefflinger; eight step-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; six sisters, Sue Marie (Jr.) Troyer, Ruby Irene Miller, Irma Lou (Lee) Schwartz of Sturgis, MI, Pauline (Mel) Hochstetler, Norma Jean (Perry) Miller, Wanda Kay (Wayne) Yoder; two brothers, Eugene Ray (Deb) Yoder and Joe Henry (Elsie) Yoder.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; and a brother, Leroy V. Yoder.
She had worked at Lamb Knit in Colon, MI and then worked several years at Mastercraft, Shipshewana. She had also worked for 13 years as a homebound nurse and was a member of the Townline Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, November 4, at Townline Mennonite Church, 2165 S. 1000 W. Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 5, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Dean Yoder. Family and friends may gather later Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm at Locust Grove Cemetery, Burr Oak, MI. for a graveside service. Memorials may be given to Townline Mennonite Church. Miller, Clair Martin
August 7, 1934 - September 8, 2022
Clair Martin Miller, age 88, of Williamsport, Maryland died September 8, 2022. He was born August 7, 1934 in Maugansville, Maryland. He was the son of Amos and Lydia (Horst) Miller. He married Lois (Burkhart) Miller on January 1, 1955.
Clair successfully operated a farm in Williamsport raising beef, pork and tomatoes. He also was part owner of Miller’s Asparagus Farm in Hagerstown, Maryland. He was a member of North Side Mennonite Church. He and his wife served in many capacities with their church as well as various mission opportunities. Several weeks each summer, for 14 years, they served with Teen Missions International. Clair and Lois were also residents of Big Pine Key, Florida for 30+ years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Angela (Lynn) Petersheim of Williamsport, Jay (Bruce Walden) of Toronto, Ontario, Celia (Stewart) Torres of Williamsport, and Barbara (Richard) Miller-Toldon of Vienna, Austria. He has five grandsons, Matthew (Rebecca) Petersheim, Tyler Petersheim, Stephen Torres, Andrew Torres, and Michael Torres. Additionally, he has two great-grandsons, Graham and Everett Petersheim.
He is also survived by two sisters, Miriam Houseman and Esther Albin. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lois Oberholzer.
Services will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:30 am at Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, 20544 Benevola Church Rd, Boonsboro, MD 21713 with Rev. Gary Zook officiating. Visitation will be at the church at 10:00 am. Burial will be private.

David A. Miller, age 68, of Berlin, Ohio passed away Sunday morning, March 27, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 1st at Berlin Mennonite Church with pastors, Jeff Hochstetler and Ernie Hershberger officiating. Burial will take place 1 p.m. Friday at Berlin Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 31st at Berlin Mennonite Church. David was born March 12, 1954 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Atlee D and Mary (Beachy) Miller. On October 22, 1976 he married Linda Stutzman, and she survives.
David started working for Schrock's of Walnut Creek at the age of 15. He worked as a wood finisher for most of his life in both Ohio and Arizona. He was a member of the Berlin Mennonite Church where he was the church historian, served as elder, was a Sunday school teacher and while in Arizona, served in the music department. He was an avid reader, loved listening to country and gospel music, was a history buff, enjoyed genealogy and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda are three children and their spouses, David Lynn (Deborah) Miller of St. Louis, MO, Jesse Allen (Lisa) Miller of Walnut Creek, OH, and Carrie Anne (Michael) Murtaugh of Navarre, OH; three grandchildren, Theoden Wright Murtaugh, Gabrael Max Miller and Charlotte Rose Miller; siblings, Paul (Barbara Ann) Miller of Walnut Creek, OH, Daniel (Mae) Miller of Trail, OH, Naomi (Roy) Hershberger Jr. of Berlin, OH, Ruth (Dave) Miller of Millersburg, OH, Rebecca (Dave) Yoder of Wilmot, OH, Christina (Roy) Miller Jr. of Mt. January 15, 1953 - January 11, 2022
David Devon Miller, 68, of Goshen, died at 7:18 am on Tuesday, January 11, at Goshen Health Hospital. He was born on January 15, 1953 in Goshen to Amos E. and Susie (Riesgsecker) Miller.
Surviving is a brother, Marvin J. (Jeanette) Miller of Indianapolis and four nephews and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Omer A. Miller; sister, Fannie Ellen Miller.
David attended Griner Conservative Mennonite Church, Middlebury and then Living Hope Christian Fellowship in Goshen. For some time he farmed the land where he grew up and then he began to buy and sell veal calves, arranging for other farmers to raise them.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, at Miller 8 Square Cemetery Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastor Jason Miller. A celebration of life service will be held at Living Hope Christian Fellowship sometime in March.

April 11, 1992 - February 8, 2022
Doreen Sue Miller, 29, of Shipshewana, died at 6:12 pm on Tuesday, February 8 at her residence. She was born on April 11, 1992, in Goshen, to Wayne Lee and Mary Etta (Bontrager) Miller.
Survivors in addition to her parents are two brothers, Nathan (Alice) Miller of Millersburg, Galen (Pauline) Miller of Howe; three sisters, JoAnna (Joseph) Fry of Shipshewana, Laura (Wilbur) Knepp of LaGrange, Rhonda (Aaron) Wingard of Middlebury; 12 nephews, eight nieces; grandmother, Edna T. (Troyer) Miller of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ezra E. Miller and Abraham A. and Mary Ellen (Frey) Bontrager.
Doreen was one of God's special children.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 9 and all day Thursday, February 10 at the family’s residence, 3140 N. 1075 W., Shipshewana. Dorothy Nissley Miller, 88, of Greencroft Communities, Goshen, died December 13, 2022, from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Etna Green, October 26, 1934, to Harvey and Emma (Slabaugh) Nissley, the youngest of a dozen children.
She was married to Mahlon D. Miller, April 5, 1953, and is survived by three children: Michele Miller (John) Sharp, Myron (Doreen Bieber) Miller, Marty (Debbie Bischoff) Miller; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and sister Rosie Miller.
She was predeceased by husband Mahlon Miller, grandson Michael J. (MJ) Sharp, and ten siblings.
For many years, she was a vital partner to her husband in pastoral ministry in congregations in Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. The two led marriage retreats, family life conferences, and renewal meetings. She was also a chaplain with Illinois-based Agape Ministries, where she applied her insight and compassion to people in the business world.
Her children are most grateful for her constant presence in their home, her nurturing care, and many prayers. Others have characterized her as an encourager, gracious, kind, and hospitable.
A memorial service - followed by burial, lunch, and storytelling - will take place at 10:00, Tuesday, January 3, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen. Dorothy’s son-in-law, Rev. John E. Elaine M. Miller, 86, Goshen, died 10:40 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Goshen Hospital. She was born June 13, 1935, in Redfield, South Dakota, to Herman & Mary (Woodward) Kleer. On December 14, 1963, she married Leroy C. Miller.
Surviving are her husband, Leroy, Goshen, children, Daryl (Jennifer) Miller, Middlebury, Diane (Bradd) Eldridge, Antioch, Illinois, 5 grandchildren, twins, Denae & Reece Eldridge, Gavin Eldridge, Alex Miller & Ben Miller.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brother, Fred Kleer and a sister, Mary Jane Knapp.
Elaine worked as a registered nurse at Elkhart General Hospital, Visiting Nurse Association and Oaklawn. She was a member of the College Mennonite Church, Goshen, and ANA (American Nursing Association). Elaine was a caring person who loved her family.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Pamela Yoder will officiate private family services. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to Goshen College, Nursing Department or College Mennonite Church.

Ella Neomah Miller, 83, of Topeka, died peacefully at 12:53 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, while surrounded by her family. She was born on October 4, 1938, in LaGrange County to Erwin J. and Polly (Miller) Lehman. On December 4, 1958, in LaGrange County, she married Ora L. Miller, he died December 4, 2018.
Surviving are eight daughters, Linda (Lavern) Bontrager of Shipshewana, Ruby (Kenny) Slabach of Shipshewana, Darla (Gerald) Yoder of Goshen, Ida (Glen) Miller of Shipshewana, Polly (David) Miller of Topeka, Mary (Marlin) Yoder of Shipshewana, Dorothy (Steve) Raber of Shipshewana, Ruth (Wade) Otto of Topeka, IN; son, David (Dolores) Miller of Shipshewana; son-in-law, Amzie (Freeda) Lehman of LaGrange; 48 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie (Orva) Bontrager of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Elsie Lehman; a son, Nelson Miller; a daughter-in-law, Joni Hamaker; three grandsons, Myron, Steven, and Marlin Miller; a granddaughter, Bethany Miller; a sister, Katie Miller; and a brother, Perry J. Lehman.
Ella was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 11, and all day Thursday, May 12, at the Wade Otto residence, 4425 W. 300 S. Topeka. Esther "Lucille" Miller, 86, of Middlebury, died at 9:31 am on Monday, June 6, at her daughter’s residence in Middlebury. She was born on December 19, 1935, in Topeka, to John I. and Elizabeth (Wingard) Schrock. On November 29, 1956, in Topeka, she married Rudy C. Miller, he died June 9, 2020.
Surviving are four daughters, Ruth (Steve) Burkholder of Bremen, Edna (Jerry) Miller of Middlebury, Esther (Daniel) Mullet of Goshen, Marilyn Ziegler of Goshen; four sons, Marvin (fiancée Vickie Smith) Miller of Bethpage, TN, Daniel (Katie) Miller of Middlebury, Mervin Miller of Shipshewana, Olen (Trish) Miller of Bethpage, TN; 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Menno Schrock of Nappanee; two sisters, Anna Miller, Edna (Andy) Bontrager both of Topeka; sister-in-law, Mary Schrock of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Lisa Miller; two brothers, Cletus Schrock, Elmer Schrock; six sisters, Beulah Argeoto, Ida Kiser, Mary Bontrager, Alice Stewart, Kathryn Schrock, Wilma Price.

Fannie Margaret Miller, 91, of Goshen, formerly of Amboy, IN, died at 8:15 am, on Tuesday, November 1, [2022] at Greencroft Health Care Center, Goshen. She was born on November 20, 1930, in Douglas County, IL, to Phenas and Drucillia (Helmuth) Wagler. On October 4, 1951, in Odon, IN she married Eli Miller, he died July 22, 2017.
Surviving are seven daughters, Martha (Eugene) Schwietert of Goshen, Anna (Paul) Mullet of Amboy, Marilyn (Keith) Hershberger of Kokomo, Clara (Roy) Walker of Summerville, NC, Jane (David) Kranz of Forest, IN, Karon (Rick) Johnson of Russiaville, IN, Darlene (Steve) Cross of Middlebury; three sons, Alvin (Kim) Miller of Bunker Hill, Wayne (Christina) Miller of Kokomo, Jason (Laura) Miller of Wabash; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine (Sam) Stoll of Greentown, Ann (Joel) Stoll of Kokomo, Sue (Lloyd) Miller of Amboy; two brothers, Melvin Wagler of Kokomo, Amzy (Verna) Wagler of Odon; sister-in-law, Mary Wagler of Goshen.

Fannie was a homemaker. A member of Siloam Fellowship, Goshen and a former member of Howard -Miami Mennonite Church in Kokomo.

Glenn R. Miller, 46, of Arthur, Illinois passed away at 10:41 AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Willard Schrock Residence, 55 East CR 300 North, Arthur, Illinois. Bishop Howard Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery.
Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2022 and any time after 10:00 AM on Friday, November 4, 2022 all at the Willard Schrock Residence. A special celebration of Glenn’s Life will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday evening at the Kauffman Farm, 260 N CR 100 E, Arthur, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Glenn was born on March 22, 1976 in Decatur, Illinois. He was a son of Raymond H. and Carolyn A. (Miller) Miller.
He is survived by his parents, Raymond and Carolyn Miller, four sisters, Deana Stutzman and her husband Reuben of Arcola, IL, Dorothy Wagler and her husband John of Bloomfield, IA, Treva Miller of Nappanee, IN and Viola Gingerich and her husband Philip of Sullivan, IL, nine nieces and nephews, Brian Stutzman (Miriam Lambright), Leona Kay Herschberger and her husband Nelson, Brandon, Vanessa, Kara and Vidalia Wagler, Justin, Rylan and Taliyah Gingerich, his step-grandma, Annie Kaufman of Arthur, IL, honorary brothers, Virgil Kauffman, Larry Kauffman, and Larry Miller and a host of cousins and many great friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Mattie Miller, maternal grandparents, Andrew and Annie Miller, his step grandfather, Dan Kaufman, and an honorary brother, Cliff Kauffman.
Glenn worked for Kauffman Bro. since 2015 and he truly loved every aspect of his job, from farming, to working with horses and especially showing horses.
Glenn never met a stranger, he enjoyed spending time with his friends, his family and especially his nieces and nephews.
Glenn loved the Lord very much.

Harry L. Miller, 64, passed away early Sunday morning at 12:29am, March 27, 2022, after a 15-month illness. A lifetime area resident, he was born to the late Earl J. and Laura (Borkholder) Miller on May 8, 1957. On October 2, 1980 he married Eva K. Yoder.
She survives along with their 5 children: Meth (Karl) Chupp of Syracuse, Lamar (Jennifer) Miller of Howe, LeAnn (Marc) Schwartz of Nappanee, Lorraine (Joas) Miller of Nappanee, and Sheila (Bradley) Miller of Nappanee. He also leaves behind 6 brothers: Karly (JoAnn) Miller of Nappanee, Dennis (Martha) Miller of Milford, Earl Jr. (Cynthia) Miller of Nappanee, Mark (Velma) Miller of Nappanee, Arnie (Special friend, Lesa Swank) Miller of Syracuse, and Tim (Special friend, Nancy Scofield) Miller of New Paris; 2 sisters, Linda (Lester) Chupp of Nappanee and Anna (Howard) Miller of New Paris. He leaves behind 17 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Harry was a welder and created and mended many projects over the years. He enjoyed the great outdoors, and was happiest spending time down at the lake or in the woods. One of his favorite achievements was the restoration of his Rumley Oil Pull, and he was able to participate in one last steam show in September of 2021. However, most important to him were his faith and family. He had a deep love and concern for the little souls coming along behind him. There was a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and he regretted missing out on seeing them grow up.
A minister in the Old Order Amish Church, he was a minister for many years and was ordained bishop in 2018. His church family was dear to him and he was saddened to leave them behind. We will miss the sparkle in his eyes, his bright smile, positive outlook, and fabulous stories. As we loved him, so we will miss him. Farewell, until we meet again.

Inez R. Miller, 50, of Middlebury, died at 10:30 pm on Friday, June 24, [2022] at her residence, following a battle with cancer. She was born on September 17, 1971, in Goshen, to Raymond and Dora (Miller) Wingard. On May 16, 1991, in Shipshewana, she married James E. Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are four daughters, Loretta (Joshua) Miller of Goshen, Marilyn (James) Chupp of Nappanee, Esther (Fred) Yoder of Middlebury, Louise (Marcus) Schwartz of Etna Green; three sons, Dennis Miller (special friend Loretta Hochstetler), Earl Miller, Paul Miller all at home; 14 grandchildren; six sisters, Esther (Vernon) Miller, Catherine (Jake) Yoder, Ruth Wingard, Erma (David) Petersheim all of Shipshewana, Susie (Loren) Jones of Topeka, Nettie Wingard of Shipshewana; three brothers, Jonas (Elizabeth) Wingard of Shipshewana, John (Lori) Wingard of Middlebury, Andrew Wingard of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nora Wingard.
Inez was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Jacob A. Miller, age 98 of Nappanee, IN, died at 8:13 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at his residence. He was born on November 8, 1923 in Nappanee, to Andrew L. and Anna (Borkholder) Miller. On November 9, 1944, Jacob married Marry Ann Miller in Nappanee. She preceded him in death after more than 48 years of marriage on February 8, 1993.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and lived his entire lifetime in the Nappanee area.

Jerry Allen Miller, 84, Goshen, formerly of Dover, Ohio, died 8:40 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Majestic Care of Goshen. He was born February 14, 1938, in Sugarcreek, Ohio, to Wallace L. & Bernice A. (Richardson) Miller. On August 31, 1963, in Walnut Creek, Ohio, he married Rebecca Ellen (Miller) Miller.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca, Goshen, sister, Carol M. (James) Zimmerly, Kidron, Ohio, sisters-in-law, Janet Miller, Sugarcreek, Ohio, Viola Miller, Sugar Creek, Ohio, Sue Miller, Dover, Ohio, Janet Miller, Sugarcreek, Ohio, numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and 4 brothers, Dean R. (Barbara, deceased) Miller, Darrell K. Miller, John W. Miller & David L. Miller.
Jerry worked in Voluntary Service Administration & Director of the Out-Spokin’ Bicycling Program with the Mennonite Board of Missions (Elkhart); Admissions and Recruitment for Eastern Mennonite College (Harrisonburg, VA); and was Catering Manager for Das Dutchman Essenhaus (Middlebury, IN). He was a member of Eighth Street Mennonite Church, Goshen, IN.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, also one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Eighth Street Mennonite Church, 602 S. 8th St., Goshen. Pastor Julia Gingrich will officiate. Joe L. Miller 86, of Millersburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Sunday, March 6, 2022 after a period of declining health. He was born on September 1, 1935 to the late Levi and Alma (Mullet) Miller. On December 6, 1956, he married Fannie Hershberger who preceded him in death on December 29, 2000. On October 26, 2002 he was remarried to Mary Beachy who survives.
Joe was a retired dairy farmer and owner of Doughty Valley Holsteins. He especially enjoyed spending time on his hobby farm, caring for his animals, chopping wood and spending time with his grandchildren. He left a good example of love and commitment to the Lord and was a faithful member of Messiah Amish Mennonite Church.
In addition to his second wife Mary, he is survived by his children, Ivan (Becky) Miller of Dundee, Mary Ellen (Jerry) Mast of Berlin, Ruth Ann (Philip) Miller of Winesburg, Rhoda (Joe) Miller of Winesburg, Tim (Renae) Miller of Millersburg and Bryan (Angela) Miller of Millersburg; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings, Raymond (Anna) Miller, Levi (late Charlotte) Miller, Abe (Susie) Miller, Clara (Wayne) Miller, Aden (Esta) Miller, Anna (late David) Hershberger, Roy (Sue) Miller, Ivan (Miriam) Miller, Wayne (Linda) Miller, Ada Miller; sister-in-law Fannie (late Jonas) Miller; stepchildren, Ina (Leroy) Schlabach of Sugarcreek, Carol (Paul) Wengerd of Berlin, Elson (Ellen) Miller of Tiverton, Julia (Dennis) Miller of Millersburg, Joanna (Norman) Yoder of Dundee, Eva (Stephen) Miller of Houstonville, Tennesee and Marlin (Ruth) Miller of Millersburg; 35 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Messiah Amish Mennonite Church, 5237 SR 557, Millersburg, on Tuesday, March 8, at 10:00 AM with the Messiah church ministry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 1-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday.

John D. Miller “Plumber John” 68, of 3946 CR 135, Millersburg, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 from an apparent heart attack. He was born on August 7, 1954 to the late David E. M. and Verna J. (Beachy) Miller. On November 8, 1975 he married Betty Kline who survives. He was a member of the Amish Church.

John E. Miller, 82, of Topeka, died at 3:10 pm on Sunday, March 20, [2022] at his residence after being diagnosed with acute leukemia in January. He was born on June 12, 1939, in LaGrange County, to Ervin J. and Lizzie A. (Yoder) Miller. On May 25, 1961, in Topeka, he married Viola T. Lambright, she survives.

John was a farmer and was formerly employed by S & H Metal. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Judith Kay "Judy" Miller, age 48, of Dalton, died Monday, March 21, 2022, at her residence, following a brief period of declining health.
Judy was born on February 14, 1974, in Orrville, Ohio, to the late Bill and Mary (Steiner) Miller.
Surviving are her mother, Mary Miller of Dalton; three siblings, Kris (Willy) Miller of Mount Eaton, Jim (Carla) Miller of Orrville, and Jan (Luke) Miller of Dalton; 6 nieces and 6 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Miller.

Karen Diane Miller, 16, of Topeka, (district: 32), died unexpectedly at 3:44 pm, on Sunday, October 30 [2022] in Bourbon. She was born on July 15, 2006, in Topeka, to Richard E. and Waneta (Eash) Miller.
Surviving in addition to her parents are four sisters, Coleen, Brenda, Cora, and Kaylie Miller; two brothers, Justin and Bryan Miller all at home; grandparents, Perry and Kathryn Miller of Topeka, Freeman and Edna Eash of Millersburg; great-grandparents, Levi N. and Rosa Eash of Topeka, Wilma Bontrager of Shipshewana, Alma Miller of Topeka, Ida Mae Schlabach of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by three great-grandfathers, Melvin Schlabach, Orva Bontrager, and Ammon Miller.
Karen worked at Technique Finishing in the finish department.

Katie was born on July 3, 1931 in Arthur, Illinois. She was a daughter of Christen E. and Amelia J. (Bontrager) Herschberger. She married Lester Jess on November 2, 1950 in Arthur, Illinois. He passed away on October 2, 1976. She later married Ammon L. Miller on June 4, 1992 in Arthur, Illinois. He passed away on June 13, 2002.

Levi J. Miller 84, of 1341 TR 661, Dundee, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 23, 2022 after a period of declining health. He was born on May 23, 1937 to the late John D. and Clara (Hershberger) Miller. On November 3, 1959 he married Ada Burkholder who survives. Levi was a retired farmer and woodworker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife Ada, he is survived by his children, Ivan (Ruth) Miller of the home, Marie (Wayne) Miller of Dundee, Fannie Mae (Maynard) Yoder of Dundee, Aden (Miriam) Miller of Dundee, Roy (Barbara) Miller of Millersburg; 32 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Melvin (late Iva) Miller, Aden (Mary) Miller, Ada (Abe) Yoder, Sara (Ervin) Yoder, Anna (Harry) Yoder, Nettie (late Lester) Yoder, Martha (late Paul) Miller; and brothers-in-law, Raymond Miller and Eli (Alta) Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Elsie Miller; siblings, Mary Miller, Alma Miller, one infant sister; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester Yoder, Paul Miller, Ammon Yoder, Iva Miller, Katie Miller and Esther Miller.

Levi was born on January 18, 1948, son of Samuel and Verna (Yoder) Miller. He married Irene Otto on October 6, 1970. Levi and Irene were married for 52 years, 7 months, 24 days.
Leaving to mourn his departure is wife Irene Miller, two children, David (Regina) Miller of Gambier, OH, Sharon (Toby) Beachy of Arcola, IL, and nine grandchildren.
Levi was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Verna Miller, one brother Lonnie S. Miller, one sister Fannie (Miller) Downes, one sister-in-law Anna (Yoder) Miller, two nephews Glen Gingerich and Wilmer Gingerich, one niece-in-law Rachel Gingerich, three great-nephews and two great-great nieces and nephews.
Levi was a member of North Vine Mennonite Church. He was a long-time employee of Arthur Farm Power and loved working on equipment and helping the local farmers.
Levi was a dedicated husband to Irene, father to his two children and the many foster children that came through their doors, and grandfather to nine grandchildren.

She was born on June 6, 1941 to the late Emanuel and Mary (Mast) Miller. On January 14, 1960 she married Levi E. Miller who preceded her in death on May 15, 1983. Lizzie Ann was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Lydia E. Miller, 81, of 8697 S. Apple Creek Rd., Fredericksburg, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022 at the home residence after a short period of declining health.
She was born on March 23, 1941 in Fredericksburg to William T. and Barbara (Miller) Hostetler. She married Eli J. Miller on Dec. 8, 1960 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 2018. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Lydia M. Miller, 87, of Walnut Creek, Ohio died on December 25, 2022 at her home. She was born June 29, 1935 to Jeremiah Wyman and Ada Miller Schlabach on the home farm in Berlin, Ohio. Lydia was married to Crist E. Miller for more than 61 years. She was a much loved mother, wife, and homemaker, and a member of the Amish Church.
She is survived by their six children: Wyman Miller of Dundee (married to Marie), Rosanna Stutzman of Benton (married to Aden), Christina Miller of Walnut Creek, Debra Miller of Berlin, Arlen Miller of Dundee (married to Ruth), Myron Miller of Sugarcreek (married to Linda); 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, a sister Edna Hershberger, and a brother Nelson Schlabach.
She was preceded in death by her husband Crist, one son Wesley Jay, a sister, and five brothers.

Lynn J. Miller, 69, of LaGrange, Ind., died at 12:57 am on November 5, 2022 at Parkview Hospital, LaGrange, after a period of declining health. He was born to Payson and Waneta (Miller) Miller, November 27, 1952, in LaGrange. He is the father of two children, Jeremy (Leah) Miller, LaGrange and Jacquelynn Miller, Shipshewana; and step-son, Tyrone Baccol, Shipshewana.
LaGrange County was home for Lynn all of his life. He worked as a farmer, raising grain, keeping hogs, and more. He was always up for a new challenge; new ways of doing things were interesting to explore and fun to learn about. He spent many years driving truck, hauling a variety of commodities from grain to hazardous material. After driving for several companies, he developed his own operation. Hours spent in the seat of his 18-wheeler provided a collection of interesting stories to share with family and friends.
Lynn appreciated growing things, crops, trees, bushes, and flowers. He successfully rooted and grew plants and shrubs from clippings, mostly for his own enjoyment. He found pleasure in house plants, especially those started from his mother’s collection. Having a dog to share life was a joy carried from childhood through his adult years.
A handyman, Lynn was capable of doing most anything. He found creative ways to make repairs and create things, whether on the farm or otherwise. Enjoying travel, he dreamed of visiting places beyond his Midwest home in retirement. Health concerns denied him those wishes.
He was a faithful and concerned friend. He valued time together, whether during a time of hardship or just for good conversation. He frequently experienced laughter and chats with friends and neighbors over a meal at Six-Mile Café and other local eateries.
Lynn is survived by his children, Jeremy and Jackie, and step-son, Tyrone; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings Virginia (Edward) Miller, LaGrange; Sherry (Paul) Miller, Orrville, Ohio; and Galen (Karen) Miller, LaGrange; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lynn was a member of Emma Church, Topeka.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12 noon on Tuesday, November 8, 2002 at Emma Church, 1900 S 600 W, Topeka; following the visitation a funeral procession will take place going to Shore Cemetery for a graveside service with Pastor Gene Hartman officiating.

Marie H. Miller 55, of 2793 SR 557, Baltic, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 23, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 15, 1966 to the late Henry N. and Mary (Yoder) Miller. On June 25, 1987 she married Atlee J. L. Miller who survives. Marie was known for her ready smile and will be dearly missed by her family. She enjoyed interacting with customers she met through the family business, Miller’s Scotch Shoes. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her husband Atlee and their children, Mary of the home, Jonathan (Martha) of Live Oaks, Florida, Paul (Marietta) of Baltic, Bennie (Linda) of Fresno, Rebecca (s.f. Martha Leona (Yoder) Miller died September 13, 2022, at her home in Toledo OH. She was 95 years old.
She was born April 19, 1927, in Elkhart County, IN to Ray & Clara Yoder.
On July 29, 1956, she married Lester J. Miller.
Martha is survived by her husband, Lester Miller, Toledo OH; daughter, Kathleen (Dee) Miller of Toledo OH; son, Karlton (Carol) Miller of Haven KS; grandchildren, Nicholle (Chris) Hawkins, Justin (Jessica) Miller, Caleb Miller, Cory Miller and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings and son, Kenton Miller.
Martha was a school teacher for over 30 years, including teaching first grade at Crissey Elementary School in Holland OH.
She and her husband attended Toledo (Bancroft) Mennonite Church and helped plant a church in Whitehouse, OH. She enjoyed telling Bible stories in church, singing hymns and loved her savior, Jesus.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Toledo Mennonite Church, 5501 Nebraska Ave, Toledo OH.

Together they shared 60 years, 5 months and 27 days of marriage until his passing on July 13, 2012. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Mattie C. Miller, 90 of Arthur, Illinois passed away at 5:50 A.M. on Friday, March 11, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the HCK West Building, South of Arthur, Illinois. Bishop Ervin D. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, Illinois.
Visitation will be held any time after 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, and any time after 10:00 on Sunday, March 13, 2022, all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mattie was born on January 22, 1932, in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Christian N. and Lovina (Kauffman) Bontrager. She was married Henry A. Miller on November 23, 1950, they lived in Holy Matrimony for 53 years. He passed away on December 7, 2003.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters, Raymond Miller and his wife Carolyn (Miller), Merle Miller and his wife Marlene (Miller), Ernest Miller and his wife Barbara Ann (Miller) all of Arthur, IL, Mervin Miller and his wife Amanda Kay (Otto) of Sullivan, IL, Dorothy Chupp and her husband Daniel, Irene Kuhns and her husband Duane of Arthur, IL and Sovilla Herschberger and her husband Alvin all of Arthur, IL; twenty-one grandchildren; sixty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her siblings include, Lizzie Diener of Humboldt, IL, Verna Bontrager of Sarasota, FL, Mary Chupp and her husband Lewis of Tuscola, IL, William Bontrager and his wife Fannie of Millersburg, OH, Irvin Bontrager and his wife Mary of Middlebury, IN, Clara Herschberger and her husband Nelson of Arcola, IL, Katie Helmuth of Glen Flora, WI, and Samuel Bontrager of Purdin, MO; one sister-in-law, Alma Schweitzer of Goshen, IN and a brother-in-law, Oba Herschberger of Sullivan, IL
Mattie was preceded in death by her Husband, Henry A. Miller, her parents, Christian N. and Lovina (Kauffman) Bontrager, her stepmother, Lizzie Ann (Miller) Bontrager, ten siblings, Ida Otto and her husband Otis, Edna Miller and her husband Andy, Carrie Herschberger and her husband Levi, Raymond Bontrager, Fannie Schrock and her husband Jake, Melvin Bontrager and his wife Laura, Levi Bontrager, Eli Bontrager and his wife Katie, Anna Bontrager, and Lorene Herschberger, brothers-in-law, Joe M. Diener, Mannasses Bontrager Jr., and Glen Helmuth, and a sister-in-law Pam Bontrager.
Mattie was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Kalona, Iowa – Mattie L. (Yoder) Miller was born on September 10, 1932, near Arthur Illinois to Levi D. and Elizabeth (Hochstedler) Yoder. Upon her confession of faith, she was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church and remained faithful until her death on March 1, 2022. On October 17, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ezra Jay Miller. God blessed them with 64 years of wedded life until his death on December 15, 2021.
She leaves to mourn her departure a son, Melvin Richard of Wellman and wife Alicia of Kalona; a daughter, Rosetta Arlene Miller of Kalona; 2 grandchildren, Mattie Anne and Jonathan Richard Miller; 3 brothers, Joe and Rebecca Yoder, Andrew and Viola Yoder and Henry and Ruby Yoder; a sister, Fannie and Allen Miller; a sister-in-law, Rosa Yoder and care taker her nephew Laban and Melva Miller and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ezra Jay, a brother Melvin Yoder and a sister Edna and a brother-in-law Jonas Herschberger.

A Funeral Service will be held 9:30 am Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Laban Miller Residence 2094 540th Street, Kalona, Iowa. Burial will be in the Brenneman Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 10:00 to 8:00 pm at the Laban Miller Residence. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home is caring for Mattie and her family.
Miller, Merlin Jay
January 31, 1979 - June 6, 2022
Merlin Jay Miller, age 43 of New Paris, IN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday morning, June 6, 2022, as a result of a semi accident in Loogootee, IN. Mr. Miller was born on January 31, 1979 in South Bend, IN to Willard H. and Viola E. (Borkholder) Miller. Merlin grew up in the LaGrange, IN area and lived most of his life in the New Paris, IN area where he enjoyed his 22 years of being a truck driver. On April 8, 2006, Merlin married Tina Lehman; he was a loving husband and devoted father.
Mr. Miller was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church where he served in many capacities over the years, most recently as teacher of the Intermediate Boys Sunday School Class of which he was very passionate about.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 16 years, Tina Miller of New Paris; 5 children: Brendon James, age 15, Ethan Jacob, age 13, Weston Jay, age 11, Alaina Jalene, age 9, and Kenton Jayme, age 7; parents, Willard and Viola Miller of New Paris; in-laws, David and Rhoda Lehman of Nappanee; 7 siblings: Marlin (Nora) Miller of Nappanee, Owen (Nichole) Miller of Elkhart, Sue Helmuth of Nappanee, Lee (Rosa) Miller of Nappanee, Inez (Harley) Lehman of Goshen, Glen (Ruth) Miller of Goshen, Mary (Faron) Yoder of Millersburg; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law: Myron (Kristin) Lehman of Nappanee, Marla (Perry) Yoder of Nappanee, Larry (Carolyn) Lehman of Wakarusa, Dorene (Lyle) Miller of Nappanee; 34 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Merlin was preceded in death by 2 brothers-in law, Willis and Benji Lehman; 2 nephews, Isaiah Yoder and Timothy Lehman; and a niece Samantha Lehman.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, June 9, 2022 and Friday, June 10, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Ramer Mennonite Youth Center (24717 CR 44, Nappanee, IN 46550). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church with the home ministry of the church officiating. Burial will follow services at the Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Miller, Nancy Carol Reedy
June 7, 1939 - October 1, 2022
Nancy Carol (Reedy) Miller, 83, of Goshen, died Saturday October 1st surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness following complications of a stroke. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Miller in 2017. She was born in Pontiac, Illinois to Clinton and Velda (Grieser) Reedy. She is survived by sister, Joan (Reedy) Griffith, of Goshen, and a brother Stan Reedy, of Washington D.C. Her oldest daughter, Karen Miller lives in Boise, Idaho with husband Sean Hassinger, and grandsons Levi, Isaac, and Seth. Her other daughter, Elaine Miller, resides in Eugene, Oregon. Son, Doug Miller, lives in Crawfordsville, Indiana with his wife Lali Hess and granddaughters Lucy and Annie Hess.
Nancy grew up in Graymont, a small town in central Illinois. She attended Goshen College, where she met Don who whisked her away for marriage and then to start a family. She finished her degree later at Wright State University in Education, and later obtained a Masters at Michigan State.
She taught at high schools in Ohio and Michigan specializing in teaching gifted classes as well as students with learning disabilities. One highlight of her career was leading the decidedly underdog Wheelersburg, Ohio High School Quiz Bowl team to victory at the National Championships. She enjoyed conveying her life-long love of reading to students through her teaching and frequently kept correspondence with them after graduation.
Nancy and Don retired to Goshen and embarked on a regular schedule of camping and RV trips for many years. Black Joe Lake in Wind River Wilderness was a special favorite backpacking site where she went multiple times to cook fish caught by Don, enjoy a campfire, and marvel at waterfalls and mountains. Nancy loved spending time with extended family in many settings: cooking together, singing and telling stories.
The property at their Goshen home was a passion project of native plants, vegetable and flower garden, fish pond, and trees. She enjoyed the entire cycle of gardening; from poring over seed catalogs in January to preserving her harvest in the fall.
Nancy was committed to her church community at College Mennonite Church and was an active participant and leader in her Sunday School. One of her great joys was signing up for church meal trains for people in need. Nancy was active in Jail Ministries for many years, and had a strong interest in continuing to learn and understand social justice and structural inequalities.
Nancy loved spending time with her grandchildren, regularly flying to Boise to watch the “Boise Boys” play baseball as well driving to Crawfordsville to visit her granddaughters, often bringing an arts and craft project along.
Memorial service will be held Nov. 5. at College Mennonite Church in Goshen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mennonite Central Committee or Mennonite Board of Missions.
Miller, Norma June Bender
July 14, 1935 - December 30, 2022
Norma June Miller, 87, of Goshen, died at 9:20 am on Friday, December 30 at her residence. She was born on July 14, 1935, in Goshen, to Orus and Clara (Schrock) Bender. On October 27, 1955, in Goshen, she married Elmer J. Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are four daughters, Betty Jane (Freeman) Yoder of Harrison, AR, Ruth Elaine (Maynard) Miller, Lillian Kay (Linford) Bontrager, Doris Ann Vetter all of Goshen; two sons, Steven Lynn (Deborah) Miller, Kenneth Wayne Miller both of Goshen; 17 favorite grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lillian (Herbert) Yoder of Goshen, Esther Ellen "Patsy" Helmuth of Nappanee, Mary Lou Yoder of Goshen, Ruth Ann (Joe) Stutzman of Middlebury; brother, Robert Bender of Goshen; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Bender of Goshen, Esther (Mark) Bender of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Bryan Miller, great-granddaughter, Amara Yoder; son-in-law, Mark Vetter; brother, David Bender; two brothers-in-law, Bob Helmuth, John Yoder.
Norma was a faithful supporter of her husband's pastoral ministry which included hosting many people. Norma volunteered as a grader for Bible Study courses offered by Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry. She often prayed for the inmates whose lessons she graded. Norma will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren as a prayer warrior. She was kind, compassionate and caring.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 1 and 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday, January 2 at Woodlawn Church, 62861 CR 41 Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 3 also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastors Dean Miller and Dan Byler. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Goshen. Miller, Ora A.
January 9, 1944 - October 17, 2022
Ora A. Miller, 78, of Millersburg (formerly of district: 33-2), died at 9:15 pm on Monday, October 17, [2022] at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1944, in Ligonier to Albert and Rachel (Yoder) Miller. On May 22, 1964, in Topeka he married Mary J. Miller, she died January 29, 2006; then on September 16, 2007 in Topeka he married Ruby (Stutzman) Schlabach, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter, Beth Ann (Jack) Handshoe of Avilla; stepson, Arlin (Joyce) Schlabach of Goshen; stepdaughter, Leona (Mark) Lehman of Millersburg; two granddaughters; one grandson; five step grandsons; five-step granddaughters; a great granddaughter; two brothers, Lloyd (Mary Anna) Miller of Topeka, Levi (Mattie) Miller of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.
Ora has worked in area factories including Jayco for over 15 years and most recently at Wolf Pack. He had also been the owner/operator of O & M Banquets and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 19, and all day Thursday, October 20, at the Mark Lehman residence, 66801 County Rd. 43 Millersburg. Oren Lee Miller, 33, of Middlebury, died at 2:40 pm on Thursday, March 24, [2022] at the scene of a motor vehicle accident at County Road 43 and US 20 in Middlebury. He was born on August 5, 1988 in Goshen to Freeman A. and JoAnn (Miller) Miller. On August 27, 2009 in Shipshewana, he married Leann Petersheim, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, Christopher Jon Miller, and Kyle James Miller; a daughter, Bethany Joy Miller; his mother, JoAnn Miller of Middlebury; three sisters, Diana Kay (Lamar Lynn) Schrock of Goshen, Amy Marie Miller and Miriam Jo Miller both of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his father, Freeman A. Miller on March 16, 2018.
Oren was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was currently working for Crossroads RV, Topeka in the welding shop. He also really enjoyed working part-time at the Village Inn Restaurant in Middlebury.
Visitation will be after 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 26, and all day Sunday, March 27, at the Leon Wingard residence, 11692 County Rd. 18 Middlebury. Orlen Dean Miller, 62, of LaGrange, died at 3:11 am on Wednesday, January 19, at his residence. He was born on February 21, 1959 in LaGrange to Olen and Barbara (Bontrager) Miller. On November 10, 1983 in Topeka he married Leanna Kurtz, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are four brothers, Duane (Ella) Miller of LaGrange, Daryl (Freda) Miller of LaGrange, Jerry (Misty) Miller of Spartansburg, PA, Steve Miller of LaGrange; four sisters, Mary (Gerald) Yoder of Shipshewana, Dorthy (Vernon) Kurtz of Topeka, Wanda (Emery) Schwartz of Shipshewana, Anita (Michael) Chupp of Topeka; nephew/caregiver, Kevin (Andrea) Kurtz of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Orlen had worked at Alpha Building Center in the metal department bending trim and he was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Perry Jay Miller, 49, of Shipshewana, (district:43), died unexpectedly following complications of a brain aneurysm at 8:19 pm on Saturday, October 1 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born on September 24, 1973, in LaGrange, to Harvey J. and Susie (Miller) Miller. On June 26, 1997, in Topeka, he married Anna Marie Raber, she survives.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister-in-law, Linda Miller.
Perry was previously the owner/operator of PJM Excavating and currently working for Miller Excavating. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Raymond A. Miller, 81, of 8311 Township Road 662, Dundee, died peacefully at home while surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1941 in Stark County to Andy N. and Lizzie A. (Miller) Miller and married Anna M. Troyer on Nov. 4, 1965. Anna preceded him in death on July 22, 2005. He then married Mary Ellen Miller on Nov. 11, 2006 and she survives. He was a member of the Sarasota Amish Church.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Ellen; 3 sons and 3 daughters, Mervin (Elsie) Miller of Millersburg, Sarah Ann (Aden) Troyer of Millersburg, Leroy (Bertha) Miller of Winesburg, Wayne Miller of Berlin, Elsie (Marvin) Troyer of Dundee and Lizzie (Vernon) Hershberger of Dundee; a step-daughter, Margaret Miller of Decatur, IL; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna (Troyer) Miller; a stillborn brother, a stillborn granddaughter and a step-son, Gerald Lynn Miller.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 16th at 9:00 a.m. at the Wayne M. Miller residence, 8251 Township Road 662, Dundee, OH with Bishop John Paul Raber officiating. Burial will be in the Hershberger Cemetery, Stark County. Friends may call anytime after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday and anytime onThursday. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements. Rosa D. (Miller) Miller, of Nappanee, IN, age 85, 2 months, 27 days, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 8:20 a.m. at home of natural causes. She was born on April 17, 1937 in Centreville, MI to David P. and Barbara (Bontrager) Miller. On November 17, 1955 she married Simon A. Miller. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2019. Rosa was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She was a widow for over 2 years. To this union were born 11 children.

Miller, Roy E.

Roy E. Miller, 88, of Apple Creek, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born on October 3, 1933 to the late Emanuel J. and Mary (Mast) Miller and married Donna M. Swartzentruber on February 18, 1961. She died June 10, 2013.
Roy was a retired farmer and had provided transportation for the Amish community. He was a member of the Fairlawn Mennonite Church.
He is survived by children, Noreen Miller of Apple Creek, Leroy (Sue) Miller and Delroy Miller, both of Wisconsin; sisters, Lizzie Ann Miller of Millersburg and Katie (Melvin) Schmucker of Kidron; and brothers, Andrew (Alda) Miller of Kidron and Henry Miller of Berlin.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Miller; and brothers, John and Crist Miller.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Fairlawn Mennonite Church, 8520 Emerson Road, Apple Creel. Graveside services will be held prior at 10:00 am at the church cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the church. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.

Ruby H. Miller, 73, of Millersburg, (district:63-3), died at 9:30 am, on Friday, November 4, 2022, at her residence. She was born on December 19, 1948, in Hutchinson, KS, to Henry L. and Lydia (Borntrager) Stutzman. On November 2, 1972, she married Samuel Schlabach; he passed away November 17, 1976. On September 16, 2007 she married Ora A. Miller; he passed away on October 17, 2022.
Surviving are a son, Arlin (Joyce) Schlabach of Goshen; daughter, Leona (Mark) Lehman of Millersburg; step-daughter, Beth Ann (Jack) Handshoe of Avilla; ten grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one step great granddaughter; two brothers, Ray (Kathy) Stutzman of SC, Daniel Stutzman of CO; sister, Wilma (Eli) Mullett of TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two brothers, Joni and Jay Stutzman.
Ruby was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Miller, Ruth Hess
April 6, 1926 - September 22, 2022
Ruth Hess Miller, 96, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, Va.
Ruth was born April 6, 1926, in Florin, Pa., the daughter of John L. Hess and Mary Erb Brubaker Hess.
She was trained as an RN, earning her degree from Lancaster General Hospital in 1948. She worked as an RN in Pennsylvania and Virginia until her children were born and later in life at Patrick Henry Hospital in Newport News, Va.
On July 3, 1949, she married Eli L. Miller Sr. in Mount Joy, Pa. They were married 59 years before his death in July 2008.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, David Hess and Anna Stauffer and their spouses.
Surviving are four sons and five daughters: Jim (Sharon) of Harrisonburg; Phil of Fort Bragg, Calif.; twins, John (Roxanne) of Hesston, Kan. and Jean Oswald (Don) of Richmond; twins E. Lewis Jr. (Marji) of Telford, Tenn. and Louise Miller of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada; Marie Headings (Randy) of Hutchinson, Kan.; Barb Hunt (Robert) of Newport News and Becky Martin (Larry) of Harrisonburg; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
With nine children born in 10 years, Ruth was busy caring for her family. She loved to read, garden, sew and crochet. For years she was the church librarian. She spent hours reading aloud to her children. She had an artistic eye, painted pillowcases with Delft scenes, created bulletin boards for the library, even created pictures out of weeds and objects found in nature.
Ruth was generous with her time and talents. She loved sharing flowers and plants with friends, produce from her large gardens, and countless potholders in her later years. She opened our home to many guests over the years. Student nurses came for meals, missionary nurses had a special place in her heart. When her children invited friends for meals or overnights, she welcomed everyone.
A memorial service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, in the VMRC Strite Auditorium at 3:00 p.m. Masks are required at VMRC.

Ryan Eugene Miller, infant son of Orlie Wayne and LaVera Ann (Fry) Miller of Topeka, was stillborn at 7:18 pm, on Tuesday, February 8, at Blessed Beginnings Care Center, Nappanee.
Survivors in addition to his parents are two brothers, Kevin Dean and Arlin Wayne Miller; two sisters; Emily Rose and Norene Sue Miller all at home; grandparents, Alvin Ray and Emma E. Miller of Howe and Melvin D. and Rosetta M. Fry of LaGrange; great-grandparents, Jacob and Edna Miller and Eli and Fannie Hochstetler both of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Daniel and Lydia Fry, and Manasses Jr. and Lydia Lehman.

Sadie A. Miller, 2 year old daughter of Aden Jr. and Lori (Hershberger) Miller of 5556 Mount Hope Road, Apple Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022 surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 21, 2020.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by six siblings, Daniel (11), Ruth (10), Elsie (9), Esther (8), Elmina (6) and Mervin (5); grandparents, Wayne A. and Edna E. Hershberger of Apple Creek and Aden J. and Amanda R. Miller of Millersburg; great grandmother, Fannie Hershberger of Orrville; and step-great grandmother, Effie Miller of Millersburg.

Sara J. Miller 64, of Fredericksburg, passed away at her residence on Monday, April 18, 2022 following a brief illness. She was born on January 27, 1958 to Jacob and Martha (Byler) Troyer who survive. On March 5, 1983 she married Levi L. Miller, Jr. who preceded her in death on July 18, 2020. Sara was employed at Coblentz Chocolate in Walnut Creek and previously worked at Mrs. Yoders Kitchen in Mt. Hope. She was a faithful member of Bethel Fellowship.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two sons, Jeremy (Andrea) Miller of Birmingham, Alabama, Jeff (Samantha Ramey) Miller of Dundee; four grandchildren, Joshua, Alyssa, Jadon, and Judah Miller; Ina (Jordan) Herrera of Fredericksburg and Brayden Herrera; siblings, Amanda (Ben) Troyer of Apple Creek, Miriam (late Robert) Burkholder of Brooksville, Kentucky, Viola (Lonnie) Weaver, Anna Troyer, Rhoda Troyer all of Fredericksburg, Mahlon (Joanna) Troyer of Millersburg; and a special aunt, Amanda Troyer of Fredericksburg.
In addition to her husband, Levi Jr., she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Robert Burkholder and sister-in-law Betty Troyer.

Saraetta Miller, 87, of Shipshewana, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her children, at 9:05 am on Sunday, May 15, [2022] at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She was born on February 4, 1935, in Defiance, OH, to Crist and Sarah (Schrock) Miller. On September 17, 1955, in LaGrange, she married Manas D. Miller, he passed away December 5, 2015.
Surviving are daughter, Sandy (Phil) Mast of Shipshewana; son, Jeremy (Jen Taflinger) Miller of Middlebury; four grandchildren, Tanner Mast, Dylan Mast, Blane Miller, and Macsen Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Ida Lambright and Mary Miller; four brothers, Ralph, Ben, Elmer and Crist Miller, Jr.
Saraetta was a homemaker, avid golfer and a member of Emma Church. She had also worked for the Westview School District for over 20 years, mostly in the cafeteria.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, at Emma Church, 1900 South 600 West Topeka. A funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 1:00 pm also on Saturday at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gene Hartman. Burial will be in Keightley Cemetery, Shipshewana. Sarah N. Miller, 101, of 12134 Harrison Road, Apple Creek, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022.
She was born in Oakland, Maryland on December 22, 1921 to the late Noah C. and Katie D. (Schrock) Beachy and on May 21, 1970 she married Uriah J. Miller. He died December 16, 1994.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by step-children, Lydia U. (late Joe W.) Hostetler, Joni U. (Fannie) Miller, and Elizabeth U. (Ervin W.) Hostetler all of Apple Creek; step-daughter-in-law, Edna W. (late Enos U.) Miller of Fredericksburg; 48 step-grandchildren; 260 step-great-grandchildren; 125 step-great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Effie (late David) Beachy.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Enos U. Miller, a step-son-in-law, Joe W. Hostetler, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer, Daniel, Milton, Paul, Simon, and David; sisters, Annie, Amanda, and Mary.

Terry Lee Miller, 46, of Middlebury, died at 6:35 am on Tuesday, February 1 unexpectedly while working at Jayco. He was born on February 18, 1975, in Goshen, to Melvin P. and Martha (Stutzman) Miller. On October 8, 1999, in Goshen, he married Josephine Mast, she survives.

Lancaster - Timothy W. Miller, 67, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Lebanon on June 4, 1954, he was the son of the late Robert K. and Mary M. Wert Miller. Tim was raised in the Mennonite Church and had been a part of the Bible Holiness Church. He had worked as a mason tender.
He is survived by his sons Ashley G. husband of Laura Miller of Terre Hill and Michael Miller of Leola; daughter Mary Lynn wife of Delmar Horning of Stevens; sister Judith L. wife of William Houser of Hershey and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Thomas I. Miller and his sister Rosemary F. Stratton.
Services will be at the convenience of the family with interment at the Dohner Mennonite Church.
Miller, Violet I. Hurst

Violet I. Miller, 89, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.
She was born March 27, 1933 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Mose and Mary (Ressler) Hurst.
On June 6, 1954, she married Stanley M. Miller at First United Methodist Church, Goshen. He died July 6, 2006.
Survivors include two children, Jacqueline R. (Bryan) Heller of Goshen and Gregory L. (Carol) Miller of Holley, New York; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ronald and Carl Hurst.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Leonard and Lawrence Hurst.
Mrs. Miller worked 54 years for Dr. Egli’s office in Topeka until her 85th birthday.
She attended College Mennonite Church and was a devoted student of the Bible. Mrs. Miller, a very outgoing and sociable person, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be at a later date in Violett Cemetery.

Wilbur S. Miller, 93, of Middlebury, died at 10:20 pm on Thursday, January 20, at his residence. He was born on December 19, 1928, in White Pigeon, MI, to Sam W. and Lovina (Stauffer) Miller. On May 10, 1951, he married Pollyanna Miller, she died December 27, 1990; on November 3, 1995, he married Mary Waneta (Schrock) Zehr, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter, Linda (Floyd) Miller of Middlebury; three sons, Maynard (Ruth) Miller of Goshen, Ken (Kris) Miller of Middlebury, Dean (Joyce) Miller of Goshen; two step sons, Michael (Suzanne) Zehr of Goshen, Lavon (Shana) Zehr of FL; two step daughters, Jane (Bryan) Young of New Paris, Judy (Myron) Borntrager of Syracuse; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Yoder, Anna Marie Lehman both of Middlebury, Irene (Mervin) Miller of Topeka; three brothers, Orley (Mary) Miller of Shipshewana, Glen (Alma) Miller, Perry (Carolyn) Miller both of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; parents; infant daughter, Shirley Ann Miller; grandson, Bryan Marc Miller; two brothers, Freeman Miller, Sam Miller, Jr.
Wilbur was a member of Living Hope Christian Fellowship. He was a farmer, carpenter, and worked in local factories including Gerring and Carriage Inc., where he retired in 1992. He also built pedal horse carts and enjoyed mowing grass at his residence and for Meadow Valley Golf Club and the Essenhaus.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 25 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. There will be one hour of viewing prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, January 26 at Woodlawn Mennonite Church, 62861 CR 41, Goshen. William J.A. Miller, 86, of Sarasota, FL, and most recently of Goshen, passed away peacefully at 9:13 pm, on Thursday, May 26 in the home of his daughter. He was born on May 3, 1936, in Middlebury, to Joe and Anna (Miller) Miller. On May 30, 1957, in Middlebury, he married Lydiann Bontrager, she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Juanita (Ken) Miller of Sarasota, FL, Marilyn (Vern) Hostetler of Goshen; son, LaVon (Marty) Miller of Middlebury; nine grandchildren, Scott (Charity) Miller, Eric (Jen) Miller, Shandra (Nathan) McCracken, Kayla (Michael) Johnson, Josh (girlfriend Kristen Hardie) Hostetler, Austin (Alyssa) Hostetler, Ashley Miller, Katie (Zac) Klopfenstein, Todd (Sophia) Miller; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey (Leanna) Miller of Sarasota, FL; sister, Esther (Reuben) Miller of Atmore, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Kenneth Miller; sister, Elizabeth Miller; brother, Harley Miller.
William was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in Sarasota, FL. He was a cabinet maker by trade for 32 years and upon retirement he drove for a limo service for 14 years, which brought him much enjoyment. He loved to mow grass and sit in his garage and visit with the neighbors as they came by while walking their dogs. The dogs knew him as "Mr. Bill."
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 29 at Siloam Fellowship, Goshen. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:30 funeral service on Monday, May 30 also at the church. Services will be conducted by son-in-law and Pastor Vern Hostetler. Karen G. Mishler, 74, of Dalton, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster
She was born near Apple Creek on January 14, 1948 to the late Elmer and Agnes (Amstutz) Geiser and married William Mishler on September 13, 1968 and he survives.
Karen was a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University and had worked as the administrative assistant to the director of nursing at Columbia University and later worked as a legal secretary for a law firm in Manhattan, NY.
She studied the art of Ikebana for many years and also enjoyed running, biking and hiking.
For the last 16 years Karen had been wheelchair bound from a spinal cord accident. She faced her adversity with courage and a smile.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by siblings, Arlene (Les) Frazier of Houston, TX, Marceil Geiser of College Station, TX and Olin (Karen) Geiser of Dalton; nephews, Reuben, Simeon, Jethro and Obadiah Geiser; and a niece, Elizabeth Geiser.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am the Sonnenberg Village, 13497 Hackett Road, Kidron. Family graveside services will be held prior in the Sonnenberg Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Orva A. Mishler, 71, of LaGrange, (district:11), died at 6:00 am on Saturday, October 29 at his residence. He was born on January 20, 1951, in LaGrange, to Amos and Mattie (Christner) Mishler.
Surviving are two brothers, Alvin (Fannie) Mishler of LaGrange, Melvin (Mary Etta) Mishler of Hillsboro, WI; three sisters, Lydia Brubaker of Shipshewana, Mary (Sam) Miller of Leesburg, Wilma Slabach of Goshen; sister-in-law, Sara Etta Mishler of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ervin Mishler; brother-in-law, Paul Brubaker; niece, Rosemary Mishler and a stillborn nephew.
Orva helped his father on the farm and worked at the ARC for 39 years. He was a special child of the Old Order Amish Church.

Mohler, Doris A. Shenk
November 18, 1945 - May 2, 2022
Doris A. (Shenk) Mohler, age 76, a resident of Landis Homes, went home to the Lord on May 2, 2022 at Lancaster General Hospital from complications relating to a fall. Doris is survived by her husband, Dr. J. Harold, sons Jeffrey D. (Rachel) and Timothy A. (Charlotte) and Robert E. Mohler. Grandchildren, Joseph, Emma, Abigail and Clara Mohler and Owen Mendelaar. Also surviving are a brother, Dale (Deb) Shenk and a sister, Norma (Dave) Waterman and the Bowman family, her step-siblings. She was predeceased by her parents, C. Mylin Shenk and Stella H. Shenk (Bowman) and a brother, Calvin Shenk and her sister-in-law, Marie Shenk.
Doris and Harold were looking forward to celebrating their 57th anniversary on December 18. They met at a church youth group meeting being introduced by a mutual friend, and it was a love story from there on out.
Doris graduated from Lancaster Mennonite School in 1963. She was employed as a secretary at Wenger & Byler, now Blakinger Thomas, in the mid-1960s. One thing she was always proud of was her typing and shorthand skills. After Jeff was born, she transitioned to being a homemaker and supporting Harold in medical school, his residency and eventual medical practice.
Doris always had a great interest in family and friends and could play the "Mennonite Name Game" with the best of them! She was a fastidious dresser and always wanted to look her best. She also enjoyed being a hostess in her younger years and always had a way of asking a new acquaintance questions and putting someone at ease. She loved flowers and the beds at her house were always a pleasure for her.
Throughout her entire life, she enjoyed writing notes and cards to people for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and the like. Many people were blessed to have received them. Perhaps this is what we will miss most about her.
Harold and Doris were members at Paradise Mennonite Church (now GracePoint) for many years in the 1980s and 1990s. They then became members at Groffdale Mennonite Church in March 2003. Groffdale Mennonite Church was a tremendous blessing for the whole family.
Doris is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed dearly. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Sunday, May 22 at 4pm at Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Rd., Leola, PA 17540. The family will greet friends from 3pm until the time of the service.

LIMA -- Greg "Pico" Mullane, 46, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, in Lima, Ohio. Greg was born on June 6, 1975 in Lima, Ohio, to Daniel and Carmen (Good) Mullane.
Greg was an Elida High School Graduate of 1993. Greg was an avid OSU fan and enjoyed NHRA, Sprint car racing, and Indy car racing. Greg enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, riding his four-wheeler, and just being outside in general. Most of all he loved spending time with his kids.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his significant other, Heather Donley; children, Seth Mullane and Shelby Mullane; sister, Christine (John Routson) Stauffer; nieces and nephews: Heather (Adam Carrier) Moore, Jesse (LaShaundra McLaurine) Stauffer, and Alexis Stauffer; great-nieces and nephew: Sophia, Raelynn, Ezra, and Josslyn; aunts and uncles: Jim Robinson, Marlin (Anita) Good, and Jill Good.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert (Jane) Good, and Daniel (Helen) Mullane; an aunt, Sue Robinson; and an uncle, David Mullane.
The family has requested everyone wear racing or OSU clothes to the visitation in honor of Greg.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Salem Mennonite Church, with a visitation 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Paula Snyder Belousek along with Rev. Todd Cosart will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Mennonite Church or Donor's Choice.

December 19, 1934 - December 7, 2022
Delmer J. Mullet, age 87, of Nappanee, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 3:30am of natural causes. He was born on December 19, 1934 to John E.S. and Emma (Schlabach) Mullet in Nappanee. Delmer was a member of the Old Order Amish church, and on October 27, 1955 he married Elizabeth Mae Yoder. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2020.
Delmer is survived by his children; Wayne “Charlie” (Marietta) Mullet, Marilyn Mullet, Linda Sue Mullet, Lora Beth (Ernest) Chupp, Sharon Kay Mullet, all of Nappanee, and Martha Fern (Brian) Poulson of Wakarusa; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Velma Arlene Mullet of Wakarusa; and sister-in-law, Florence Mullet Garber of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; brother Melvin J. Mullet and sister Edna Marie Hochstetler.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, December 8, 2022 any time after 2pm at the David Miller residence (11464 N 900 W, Nappanee), and all day on Friday, December 9, 2022. A funeral service will be on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 9:30am also at the David Miller residence. Burial will follow at Graber Cemetery. Mullet, Katie Ann Yoder
November 18, 1924 - January 15, 2022
Katie Ann Mullet, age 97 of Nappanee, IN, died at 2:40 am, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa, IN. Katie was born on November 18, 1924 in Lagrange County, IN to Dan and Lydia (Stutzman) Yoder. On January 4, 1945 Katie married Henry “Hank” Mullet in Topeka, IN. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2015.
Mrs. Mullet was a lifelong Nappanee area resident, spending winters in Pinecraft, FL. Katie was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her 4 children: Larry (Rose) Mullet of Nappanee, Stephen (Doris) Mullet of Anna, TX, Marilyn (Pete) Yoder of Nappanee, and Marcia (Chet) Borkholder of Bremen, IN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a half sister, Martha Hostetler of Linn, MO.
Mrs. Mullet was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great granddaughter, Parker Elise Anderson; 3 sisters: Verna Glick, Amanda Mast, and Anna Mae Bontrager; 2 half sisters Wilma Yoder and Orpha Hershberger; and a half brother Joseph Yoder. Friends and family may call from 1-8 Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Brian Lehman residence (72218, CR 11, Nappanee, IN 46550). Funeral services will also be held at the Brian Lehman residence at 9:30am on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 with home ministries of the Old Order Amish Church officiating. Mullett, Viola Hostetler
August 20, 1934 - November 12, 2022
Viola Mullett, 88, of Sugarcreek, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Greenridge Assisted Living in Millersburg surrounded by her family.
She was born in North Canton on August 20, 1934 to the late Henry and Lucinda (Coblentz) Hostetler and married Roy E. Mullett on October 11, 1953. He died on August 1, 2011.
She had worked at both, the Amish Door Restaurant and Dutch Valley Restaurant, in their bakery. She loved to serve others by baking for them and making homemade candy. She was a member of Light in the Valley Chapel.
She is survived by her 6 children, Carol (Layden) Miller of Millersburg, Marilyn (Marvin) Hochstetler of Loudonville, Darlene (Jeff) Hines of New Philadelphia, Ed Mullett of Dover, Sheila (Sam) Hershberger of Stone Creek, and Rhoda (Merlin) Gingerich of Mt. Hope; 12 grandchildren, Melisa Miller, Justin (Valerie) Miller, Jeremy (Kenzie) Miller, Tishena Hochstetler, Tiana Hochstetler, Samantha (Donny) Beachy, Paulina (Zachary) Bailey, Grant (Abby) Hershberger, Garrett Hershberger, Terrell Gingerich, Allison Gingerich, and Emily Gingerich; 6 great grandchildren; and her siblings, Mel (Bev) Hostetler, Mary Wittmer, and Henry Hostetler, Jr.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ervin Hostetler, Beulah Hochstedler, and Lovina Schrock.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Light in the Valley Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Mast officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 PM and Wednesday from 9-10 AM all at the Church. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who offered care and support during Mom's final journey. Special thanks to LifeCare Hospice and the incredible staff at Greenridge. Mom learned to love and appreciate the residents and staff at Greenridge in the five months she lived there. The staff at Greenridge and LifeCare Hospice all went above and beyond the call of duty, and we will always be grateful to you.
Murray, Vivian J. Landis
March 11, 1926 - May 9, 2022
Vivian J. Murray, 96, of Goshen, died at 4:30 am, on Monday, May 9 at her residence. She was born on March 11, 1926, in Jackson, MN, to Noah E. and Ethel L. (Garber) Landis. On June 15, 1948, in Alpha, MN she married Franklin L. Murray, he died November 12, 2004.
Surviving are daughter, Colleen K. (Steven) Sanders of Penfield, NY; two sons, Richard Murray of Liverpool, NY, Paul Murray of East Syracuse, NY; granddaughter, Kate (Michael) Margitus; two great-grandchildren, Weston and Britta Margitus; sister, Berniece Nafzinger of Litchfield Park, AZ; brother, Fred (Joyce) Landis of Motley, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Murray; three sisters, Ruth Erb, Wilma Landis, Bonita Driver; four brothers, Eldon Landis, Paul Landis, Richard Landis, Elmer Landis.
Vivian was a homemaker and previously a member of College Mennonite Church. She loved to sew and cook and made great cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed volunteering at Greencroft and had a very gentle and giving spirit.
A memorial service will take place at 3:30 pm on Thursday, May 12 at Evergreen West Chapel at Greencroft in Goshen. Services will be conducted by Chaplain Laura Moshier. Burial will be at a later date in Good Cemetery, Clarence Center, NY. Memorials may be given to MCC.
Myers, Elizabeth Alderfer
September 3, 1923 – January 11, 2022
Elizabeth (Alderfer) Myers, 98 of Souderton Pennsylvania, formerly of Gardenville, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.
She was the loving wife of Clarence R. Myers. They were married
58 years before his death in 2004. Elizabeth was born in Bedminster Township on September 3, 1923 to the late Henry and Aquilla (Miller) Alderfer. She had 6 sisters and 2 brothers. After her marriage, April 21,1945, she moved to the Myers Homestead where she worked with her husband on a dairy farm near Gardenville, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East, baptized in 1939. She was active in the church sewing circle.
The greatest joy in Elizabeth’s life was her family. She loved each one equally and unconditionally. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She was admired by her family for her gift of quilting. She made a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening. For many years she and her husband had a very large garden which produced most of the vegetables for her family. She worked hard, freezing and canning the garden produce which was served during the winter months.
Elizabeth kept in touch with old friends and looked for new friends wherever she went. She was a giving person, always ready to help someone in need. She cared for her neighbors when they had physical limitations. She and her husband were volunteers for many years with Meals on Wheels.
Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memories are four sons and one daughter: Roland (Eileen) Myers, Lebanon, PA, Stewart (Nancy) Myers, Souderton, PA, Gordon (Darlene) Myers, Pipersville, PA, Marietta (Missy) (Glen) Myers, Glenmoore, PA, Ralph (Debby) Myers, Caldwell, ID, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Grace (Arthur) Sheetz, Mary (Owen) Rice, Florence Alderfer, Claude (Evelyn) Alderfer, Miriam (Durrell) Detweiler, Pearl (Norman) Freed, Willard (Gladys) Alderfer. She is survived by sister Alice Detweiler, sister-in-law Gladys Alderfer and brothers-in-law Elmer Detweiler and Norman Freed.
